Advanced Process Controls Engineer Geismar, LA; Freeport and Houston, TX We are searching for Advanced Process Controls Engineers for our client in Geismar, Louisiana, and Freeport and Houston, Texas. You must be an expert in the design and implementation of process control strategies, Human-Machine-Interfaces, Manufacturing Execution System applications, and KPI development. The duties for these positions include sustaining APC applications, analyzing and tracking performance, identifying and correcting problems, and developing and providing training when required. Our client is looking for leaders to assist with developing project approval packages, participate in approval review meetings, develop packages for contractors/vendors, and perform contractor selection. Their requirements include a BS/MS in Chemical or Electrical Engineering, 10 plus years of experience in an Operation or Process Control environment, and a strong technical knowledge in Advanced Process Control engineering and control systems. You must also have a strong technical knowledge of unit operations, controls engineering and systems, and various types of pressure, level, temperature, and flow instrumentation. They need professionals with a working knowledge of field instrumentation, control valves, Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), DCS, SCADA, LARS, PIMS, IS systems, Fieldbus, Profibus, Asi-bus, and other networks and busses. Experience with Aspentech DMCPlus, Romeo, and other similar software applications are desirable; however these skills can be acquired through our developmental training while working in the position.
